Kvålsnapen - return trip 3 km | Hiking | Bygland | Norway

The walk starts on an old timber track on the north side of the mountain. On the way to the summit at 460 m.a.s.l. you walk partly on forest path, partly on rock. There are many fine viewpoints along the way. Approaching the top, you see the beautiful fjord and most of the village of Bygland. On the other side of the road, underneath the mountain, is the Viking tomb Hanehaug. Starting point is highway 9 at Kjarberg; 1.5 km north of central Bygland.
